Phew! Tokyo Game Show this year was enough to make your head
spin, in a good way! These are truly exciting times to be a gamer.
Mighty Ape were lucky enough to get to attend this years Tokyo Game Show on a
business day, which meant we could avoid the crowds and get our monkey mitts on
some of the hottest games heading our way soon!
It is hard to know where to begin, so I guess I will just dive right in.
First things first, let's talk about The
Evil Within (named Psycho Break in Japan). It was EVERYWHERE. Every
nook and cranny outside Makuhari Messe (the giant convention centre in Chiba
where the Tokyo Game Show is held), as well as everywhere inside too – the
marketing budget must be HUGE, which means Bethesda are banking on it being a
success. I got my hands on a playable demo at the Sony booth, and can safely
say this game deserves to be HUGE. It feels like what Resident Evil should have
become – a slick psychological survival horror, not the action laden bullet
fest the franchise has become. If you long for the time when survival horror
meant just that – surviving the horror, then The Evil Within is for you. You
can watch the brand new trailer unveiled at TGS here. The Evil
Within is out next month on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360, so lock in
your pre-order, book your time off work, and get ready to scream!

Whoa – check out the detail on this piece! Presenting the epic Titanfall
Pilot Statue, standing at a whopping 23" (almost 60cm).
In Titanfall, Pilots are the elite trained operators of battlefield mechs
called Titans. Using the Titan mechs as extensions of themselves, the pilots aim
to take control in the war between the IMC and the Frontier Militia. Even when
not operating a Titan, Pilots are a formidable force to be reckoned with, being
armed with a vast selection of weaponry and wearing special body armour that can
enhance the wearer's ability substantially with an on-board jetpack. Wearing
this, a pilot has the ability to run on walls, and to jump to great
heights.
Gaming Heads is proud to unveil the Militia Assault Pilot, straight from
Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall. In this statue, we have portrayed a
completely geared up Militia Pilot from the game wall running, wielding a Hemlok
